Vidya Bhawan Rural Institute, Udaipur
Established in 1956, Vidya Bhawan Rural Institute (VBRI) is now a leading postgraduate college in Udaipur. From the beginning, the college has aspired to create a cadre of rural leaders, with a good grounding in diverse social issues. With this in mind, all institution courses expose students to a diversity of social settings and ideas. After six decades of its existence, the institute offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Humanities, Social Sciences, Commerce and Science. The present students’ strength is 1270; it also has suitably qualified faculty and service staff.

Vidya Bhawan Govindram Seksaria Teacher College

Vidya Bhawan Govindram Seksaria Teacher college was started in 1942 in response to the needs of the Vidya Bhawan School established in 1931. Dr K L Shrimali was its first Principal; he later became the Union Cabinet’s Education Minister. The foundation stone of the college was laid on the 3rd of October, 1942 by Sir Mirza Ismail, the then Prime Minister of Jaipur State. The college ran a certificate course in teaching till 1948 through affiliation to Board of High School and Intermediate Education, Rajputana. The degree course in education started in 1949 after its affiliation to the University of Rajasthan (formerly Rajputana). In 1951, it became a Post Graduate College of Education that led to a Masters Course and a Doctoral Programme in 1963. The early childhood education program in school education made the college add a diploma course in Early Childhood Education in 1969.  In the year 1993, the college got upgraded to an Institute of Advanced Studies in Education (IASE) under Teacher Education’s qualitative improvement scheme as envisaged in the National Policy on Education, 1986. Presently the Institute is affiliated to Mohan Lal Sukhadia University, Udaipur (Rajasthan).

Vidya Bhawan Gandhian Institute of Educational Studies (VBGIES)

 Vidya Bhawan Gandhian Institute of Educational Studies (VBGIES), affiliated to  Mohan Lal Sukhadia University, is one of the teacher training institute of Vidya  Bhawan Society (VBS), Udaipur. VBGIES got established on November 14,  2008, by the eminent Gandhian, Late Shri Narayan Desai, Shri Riyaz Tehsin (the  then VBS President) and Professor M.P. Sharma (the then Principal of VBGIES). 

As the name emphasises, the college objective is to embed Gandhian ideas in its  professional two-year BEd degree course and similar duration diploma run by its  subsidiary: Vidya Bhawan Kala Sansthan Shikshak Prashikshan Vidyalaya  (VBKSSPV). A Centre of Gandhi Peace Foundation (GPF) exists in VBGIES  campus to study, research, and propagate Gandhian thought. 

Vidya Bhawan Polytechnic College

Established in 1956, Vidya Bhawan Polytechnic College prepares technical personnel who are socially & environmentally sensitive. It provides Diploma in Civil, Electrical, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology streams; it also provides post-diploma in Polymer Science & Rubber Technology and through its Saraswati Mechatronics Centre, a certificate program in Mechatronics. The institute is approved by All India Council for Technical Education and affiliated to the Board of Technical Education, Rajasthan. The admission is done through centralized admission process and selection is done on merit. The certificate in Mechatronics is awarded jointly by BOSCH, Vidya Bhawan Society and Saraswati Singhal Foundation; and is affiliated to the Rajasthan ILD Skills University. Besides the formal courses, the institute runs short-term skill training programs for rural youth, with schedules exclusively for women, school dropouts, and weaker sections through its Community Development programs. These six-month courses are free of any cost.
