The Anganwari Training Centre of Vidya Bhawan functions under the Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS). It provides training to the Anganwari Worker (Karyakarta) and Assistant (Sahayika) of Anganwari centers. The Centre has various training materials like books, posters, charts, calendars and models. Trainees are given hands-on training on weighing machine and other equipments which they would use at their respective Anganwari Centres. Residential training programmes are conducted at the Centre. The facilities at the Centre include training hall, dormitories, toilets, mess, garden and ample open space which make for joyful learning. Vidya Bhawan’s Education Resource Center (VBERC) has established itself nationally as a resource centre that works on the issues of school education. Presently, VBERC has multiple partnerships with national, state and private institutions and also with MHRD, NCERT, NEUPA, IGNOU, SCERTs, DIETs, Universities, research institutions, international organizations, funding organizations and voluntary organizations. VBERC works to raise the level of discourse on education through local to international level conferences, seminars and workshops. The centre also works on material development, textbook writing, training, systemic reform and capacity building. The Institute of Local Self Government and Responsible Citizenship works as a flexible educational centre for democracy through training, research and advocacy. Established in 1997, the Institute has trained over 10 thousand elected representatives (ERs) of Panchayati Raj (over 40% women) in more than 500 capacity enhancement programmes (CEP). The Institue works for women empowerment through orientation of SHGs and exclusive trainings for elected women representatives of Panchayati Raj. The Institute provides plateform to the ERs through block level Panchayat Mela and Mahila Sammelans, which are held every fortnight. Over 30 books, posters, games and AV materials have been developed and distributed for the benifit of the rural community in general and elected representatives in perticular. Since 2010, the Institute has begun intensive work in 24 Gram Panchayats of Badgaon & Gogunda blocks. Funders include European Union, Tata Trusts, Dr. Stefan and Petra Reineck through MAECENATA International, UNICEF and others.

Nature lovers and scholars have a new destination to experience the raw jungle life! Less than 10 kilometers north of Udaipur, the city of lakes, in southern Rajasthan; a forest has been preserved in its natural glory. Hills, ravines, caves, water bodies, shrubs, herbs and age old trees of the dry deciduous jungle are all part of the Vidya Bhawan Prakriti Sadhana Kendra (VBPSK). From insects to reptiles, from langoors to leopards and from amphibians to birds, the life of a jungle can be experienced in the 400-acres (1.6 square kilometers) of forest area. Vidya Bhawan has preserved this area for six decades now. In the new millennium, ‘Padma Bhushan’ Prof. Jagat S. Mehta, former President of Vidya Bhawan Society and former Foreign Secretary of India, donated about Rs.60 Lakhs to construct a camping site, which was inaugurated by Nobel Laureate Dr. R.K. Pachauri on 19th August 2009. VBPSK is a nature education and interpretation centre for students, scholars and nature lovers!
