Established in 2001, Vidya Bhawan Public School (VBPS) is the newest addition under the Vidya Bhawan umbrella and is affiliated with the CBSE. Vidya Bhawan Senior Secondary School, founded in 1931, stands as a learner-centered institution that integrates strong educational values with modern approaches. The school delivers education from Nursery to Senior Secondary levels, aiming to develop students into responsible and rational citizens. Rooted in the ideals of its founding years, it balances traditional values with the needs of contemporary society. Managed by the Vidya Bhawan Society, the school encourages the holistic development of each child’s personality, character, and academic potential through an inclusive, evolving curriculum.

Started in 1941, Vidya Bhawan Basic School was Rajasthan’s first school based on Gandhian educational principles. Located on Udaipur’s outskirts, the school initially emphasized learning through manual work such as spinning, sewing, and food processing. It followed Gandhi’s “Heart, Head, and Hands” philosophy, blending academics with life skills and community engagement. Though the experimental Gandhian approach continued until 2011, the school later transitioned to a conventional system. Today, it continues to uphold its legacy of value-based, practical, and holistic education for all.
