Founded in 1931 with four classes and fifty-eight students, Vidya Bhawan Senior Secondary School now houses a well coordinated programme of integrated education from the nursery to senior secondary level in Arts, Science and Commerce. In keeping with its commitment to integrated and holistic development of a child’s personality through education, the school’s curriculum covers academics, sports and crafts. The emphasis is on the child becoming a disciplined and confident self-learner. The school attempts to avoid competition and allows children learn without pressure. Well equipped laboratories, computer facility, gymnasium, guidance and counseling bureau and facilities for creative arts are all located on a sprawling and green campus. The faculty accords individual attention to its students and creates opportunities for them to participate in co-curricular and adventure activities.

The Vanshala and Anniversary Project ideas have been implemented in the school to inculcate a spirit of self-learning and community living. The primary section offers bilingual medium of instruction, following which the children can pursue Hindi medium or chose English medium with CBSE. The education of children from the city orphanage, admitted to the school, is being part-supported by the well-wishers from world over.
